Panama Hats

Is there anything more evocative of festive summer days – and we might add utilitarian – than the perfect panama hat? We have commissioned two models, both of fino quality natural,undyed toquilla palm fibre woven completely by hand – very labour intensive – to produce the unformed caplines from which the hat is formed and styled.

Our classic model has a proper moderate brim and classic width ribbon crown band with tied- and- tacked bow, and gently pinched crown with center crease. A nice touch of Our Man in Havana sort of thing, particularly since we do the crown band in Havana brown, rather than the more traditional black.

Our second model is a more contemporary version of the trilby: slightly narrow brim with braided edge and classic width ribbon band in the decidedly non-trad Havana brown, center creased and pinched crown. Perhaps a slightly more modish approach to mad dogs and Englishmen.
