THE FINE ARTIST OF TIE MAKING
To celebrate the opening of our new Clifford St shop Drake's have commissioned the Internationally acclaimed, Jerwood prize winning artist Adam Dant to create several impressive, bespoke artworks.
Working from Drake's Clerkenwell factory Dant has produced an engaging tableau to delight the cultured connoisseur of drawing and fine silk neckware with a visual journey around Drake's world of tie making .
The artist has also penned and illustrated a series of very entertaining verses dedicated to Drake's ties, telling remarkable stories from the place of their birth, the historic London parish of Clerkenwell.
Dant's terrific drawing will be housed in the impressive ex Victoria and Albert museum Starfish display cabinet at our new Clifford street shop. His Drakes' Clerkenwell Life' verses can be found at the 'Spitalfields Life' website.
